Wet Belt Replacement

Wet belt systems are found in a growing number of modern engines, particularly within the Volkswagen Group range. Unlike a conventional timing belt, the wet belt runs inside the engine immersed in oil, making it more sensitive to oil condition and service history. A neglected oil service schedule accelerates wet belt wear and significantly increases the risk of failure.

Wet belt replacement is a specialist job that many garages won’t touch.
